About Us

Great Barford Lower School provides high quality education for children between the ages of 4 and 9. We currently have 140 on roll including some part time children in the Reception unit.

The school has five classrooms, a library/ICT suite, a food technology area, a large area for practical activities and a hall that is used for PE, assemblies and lunches. Outside there is a hard play area, a quiet garden area, a separate play area for the Reception children, a playing field and a swimming pool.
 

The school is situated in the popular village of Great Barford, in the North Bedfordshire countryside 5 miles to the east of the County Town of Bedford.  It occupies a site adjacent to       Alban Middle School.
